RTAC Community Code of Conduct
Applies to everyone in the RTAC Community. WhatsApp group members, webinar attendees, and anyone accessing shared resources.
1. Respect and courtesy
Treat everyone in the Community with respect, regardless of experience level, business size, or background. Honest questions and different viewpoints are welcome; personal attacks, harassment, discrimination, or belittling comments are not.
2. Stay on topic
Keep conversation relevant to responsible and sustainable travel. It is not the place for unrelated promotion, spam, or general business advertising.
3. No unsolicited self-promotion or selling
The Community is for genuine knowledge-sharing, not a marketing channel.
4. Confidentiality and trust
Treat professional insight or challenges shared within the Community as confidential; don’t use it for competitive advantage without permission.
5. Honesty
Don’t knowingly share false, misleading, or unverified claims about sustainability, suppliers, or responsible travel practices.
6. No misuse of the RTAC name
Community members should not present themselves as RTAC Members or imply RTAC endorsement they don’t hold.
7. Eligibility
You must be a current UK-based Travel Agent to join and remain in the Community. If you leave the role, you must let the Membership & Community Officer know so you can be removed from the relevant groups.
8. Raising concerns
Raise any breach with the Membership & Community Officer. Concerns are treated fairly and confidentially wherever possible.
9. Consequences of breach
Minor issues are addressed with a direct message. Repeated or serious breaches may result in removal from the Community. This decision sits with the Board, not any single individual.
