RTAC Members Code of Conduct

Sits alongside the Pledge, governing how Members treat each other and behave within RTAC itself.

1. Respect and professionalism
Members will treat each other, Community members, and anyone RTAC interacts with, with respect. Disagreement and honest challenge are welcome; personal attacks, harassment, or belittling are not.

2. Fair and unbiased participation in the approval process
Reviewers must assess candidates on the eligibility criteria alone. Any Member with a conflict of interest must declare it and step aside. No Member may use their position to block, delay, or wave through a candidate for reasons unrelated to the criteria.

3. No abuse of Membership status
Membership, the RTAC name, logo, or pin badge must not be used to imply an endorsement, partnership, or authority RTAC has not given.

4. Constructive conduct in Community and Membership spaces
RTAC spaces are for constructive discussion, not unrelated business offers, personal disputes, or harassment. Confidential discussions must stay within the appropriate group.

5. Honesty and transparency
Members must not knowingly provide false or misleading information in their Membership application, evidence, or ongoing reporting.

6. Eligibility
You must be a current UK-based Travel Agent to join and remain a Member. If you leave the role, you must let the Membership & Community Officer know so you can be removed from the relevant groups.

7. Raising concerns
Raise any breach with the Membership & Community Officer or a Board member. Concerns are treated confidentially wherever possible, with no retaliation for raising a genuine concern in good faith.

8. Consequences of breach
Minor or first-time issues are typically addressed through a direct conversation. Repeated or serious breaches may result in a formal review of Membership. Any decision to suspend or remove a Member sits with the Board, not any single individual.
